Prica puno prica – Storytellingstories
Storytellingstories (2007) is an experimental combination of show and didgeridoo concert that creates the impression that the music is three-dimensional. In this experiment, elements from the abstract scenery, the characteristic tube-instruments, and the interaction of the performer with scenes from the video create a unique musical story. The didgeridoo is the oldest and most simple wind instrument in the world – and consists of one (wooden) tube. Contrary to belief, in symbiosis with the human body, it is capable of filling a wide range of frequencies, and with the addition of auditory illusions, can create the impression of an invisible orchestra. In this show the didgeridoo is pulled from its original context and is expanded to include “tubes from 1.5 to 10.27 meters,” which is the length of the longest tube in this performance. Two worlds in one room – Stinkirum, travels through Earth – Mandala, thoughts from within the darkness of the mind – Labyrinth, fear of an empty room – Demons….are just some of the stories told by the performance’s main character – the wind. The wind that symbolizes the initiating force of everything that is.

Point in Line
Point in Line (2009) is a 40 minute music and dance by Dubravko Lapaine and Sabine Parzer (Austria). The theme of the performance is symbolized by two geometric and esoteric elements of point and line, with their opposition and unity. The point means silence, stillness, femininity; line represents movement towards a goal, action, masculinity. The didgeridoo in its form draws a line in space, and dance – as a momentarily experienced sensation – a point in time. The performers/ characters on the stage illustrate these principles through unexpected situations, dialogues, sound pictures and movement language. The musical/dance scenes pass the journey from Full Moon to Point of Being upside Down and from there they might pour into Rebellion and Swimming and re-happen as Time happened at once – Journey on a no-legged Cow, all in all coming to a Strange Love Song and so on…
